Anarsa is a delicacy from Maharashtrian cuisine. It is a cookie-like sweet prepared with rice flour, jaggery, and sesame seeds. We have brought you an instant anarsa recipe where there is no need to worry about soaking the rice for hours and bursting of anarsa while frying them.
Follow the directions along with the images and bake anarsa instead of frying.
Directions:
1. Mix 2.5 tbsp of ghee in 1 cup of rice flour.
2. Add 1/2 cup of crushed jaggery, 1 tbsp of sesame seeds to the flour, and mix well.
3. Pour 4 tbsp of milk gradually into the flour and knead a soft dough. Cover and rest the dough for 30 minutes.
4. Mix 2 tbsp of mawa and 2-coarsely crushed cardamom to 1 tbsp of grated jaggery.
5. Knead the dough after 30 minutes and take out a portion of the dough.
6. Give the dough a shallow bowl shape and add stuffing at the center.
7. Cover the stuffing ball and give the anarsa a round shape.
8. Wrap the anarsa with sesame seeds and prepare more of them.
9. Roll the dough into a ball, wrap it with sesame, and flatten it to give it a cookie-like shape.
10. Assemble both the types of anarsa on a baking tray.
11. Preheat the oven to 200° centigrade for 6 minutes.
12. Bake the anarsa at 200°centigrade for 15 minutes.
13. Let the anarsa cool; after that, transfer them to another plate.

Rice Flour - 1 Cup, 175 grams
Jaggery - ½ Cup, 100 grams
Desi Ghee - 2.5 tbsp

Dry Whole Milk (Mawa) - 2 tbsp
Cardamom - 2, crushed
