Mango Appe is a dish which is perfect for any occasion. It is healthy to eat and it is made up of all the natural ingredients. Preparing it is an easier process as well as quicker too. Mango Appe has a combination of fruit and cake in its texture.

Getting Ready :
Take a mango, peel it, extract its pulp and ground it using a mixer.
Take a cup of semolina in a bowl, add a ½ cup of mango pulp, 6 tbsp of sugar to it and mix well.
Add a ¾ cup of milk to it and blend well until it reaches the desired consistency.
Add 4 tbsp of grated dry coconut, a ½ tsp of green cardamom powder to it and mix well. Keep it aside for 10 minutes to expand the semolina.
After 10 mins, rectify its consistency by adding some milk to it if required. Add a ½ teaspoon of Eno salt to it and stir well.
Preheat an Appe maker on low flame and grease its moulds using clarified butter. Fill the moulds by adding some batter in them.
Cover and cook on low flame for 4 to 5 minutes. After 4 minutes, spread some clarified butter around the Appes.
Cover and cook again for 2 to 3 minutes. After 3 minutes, flip them and cook until they become brown from all the sides.
Remove the cooked Appes from the maker and place on a plate. Cook all the Appes likewise. The sweet mangoes Appe are ready to be served.
Suggestions
- You can increase or decrease the quantity of sugar according to your taste.
- You can use a ½ teaspoon of baking powder instead of Eno fruit salt.
- You can use oil instead of clarified butter.
