Sooji malai laddus are somewhat melting in the mouth type of dessert/sweet. These laddus have slight crispiness as prepared with roasted semolina (sooji) and desiccated coconut. To make these laddus tastier, we have added dry fruits and flavored them with cardamom powder.
So, follow the directions below along with the images and prepare delicious Sooji Malai Laddu.
Directions:
1. Heat ¼ cup of ghee in the Kadai.
2. Add 1 cup of sooji to the pan and roast it for 5 minutes over medium heat.
3. Add 2-3 tbsp of desiccated coconut to the sooji and roast briefly for 2 minutes.
4. Roast 8-10 chopped almonds, cashews, and pistachio together with sooji for 2 minutes.
5. Mix ¼ cup Malai, 1 cup of sugar powder, ½ tsp of cardamom powder in the sooji mixture.
6. Cover and leave the mixture for 5 minutes.
7. Add 1 tbsp of raisins and mix well.
8. Take a little mixture out and shape it into a medium-sized laddu.
