  • Mint leaves - ½ cup
  • Green coriander - ½ cup
  • Lemon – 2
  • Raita boondi - ½ cup
  • Ginger baton - ½ inch
  • Asafoetida – 1-2 pinches
  • Black peppercorns - ¾ tsp
  • Roasted cumin seeds – 2 tsp
  • Sugar – 2 tsp (optional)
  • Black salt – 1 tsp
  • Salt - ½ tsp
  1. Take green coriander in a mixer jar and add mint leaves into it along with roasted cumin seeds, black peppercorns, roughly chopped ginger, sugar, black salt, salt, asafoetida and some water. Put the lid on and prepare a fine paste of it.
  2. Transfer the prepared paste in a big jar along with some more water. 1 cup water is already added, now add 2 more cups of water into it.
  3. Cut the lemons into half and squeeze them into the jal jeera water. Mix everything really well. Jal jeera is now ready.
  4. Pour jal jeera in a glass and add 6-7 ice-cubes into it. Garnish this tangy and refreshing jal jeera with 2-3 tsp of raita boondi and serve it chilled. Enjoy!
