Tawa roasted veg Pitor Katli is a recipe of snack which is perfect to make breakfast or brunch. It is also perfect to make for snacking during tea time. Serving it along with coriander or tomato dip makes it more scrumptious. 

Here is a step by step recipe along with pictures to make roasted veg Pitor Katli Tikka. This recipe will help you to make it easily and perfectly. 

Direction:

Getting Ready:

Add a cup of chickpea flour with a cup of water and dissolve its lumps. 

Add 1.5 cups of water and make its smooth batter. 

Add a tsp of salt, a ½ tsp of cumin seeds, a tsp of salt, a ¼ tsp of red chilli powder, a tsp of coriander powder to it. 

Add a ½ tsp of ginger paste, a ½ tsp of turmeric powder, 2 finely chopped deseed green chillies, 2 tbsp of finely chopped green coriander to it.  

Add a finely chopped capsicum, a cup of finely chopped cauliflower, finely chopped and deseed tomato to it. 

Preheat a pan and 2 tsp of oil in it. 

Add the batter in it and cook while continuously stirring it on high flame for 15 minutes. 

Turn the flame to medium, stir it to make it thicker.

We cooked it for 10 minutes though,  5 minutes on high flame and 5 minutes on medium flame.

The batter appears rightly thick. Now, we will set it. 

Add the batter in a plate and spread it evenly.

Store it in a cool place or beneath the fan to set it.

Pitor has set after 10 minutes, cut it into pieces.

Preheat a non-stick pan along with 1 tbsp of Oil.

Spread it evenly and leave the pan to heat.

Add the pieces in a wok to fry on medium flame.

They are light brown from the bottom so flip them.

You can spread Oil over them if required and fry until they are Golden Brown from both sides.

Pieces have rightly fried from both sides so drain them out.

Veg Pitor Snack is ready to be served.

Suggestions

  • You can increase or decrease the quantity of red chilli powder according to your taste.
  • You can take any veggie according to your taste or you can add Onion.

Ingredients
  • Chickpea Flour - 1 cup (100 gms)
  • Capsicum - 1 cup (finely chopped)
  • Cauliflower - 1 cup (finely chopped)
  • Tomatoes - 1 (finely chopped)
  • Oil - 3 to 4 tbsp
  • Green Coriander - 2 to 3 tbsp (finely chopped)
  • Turmeric Powder - ½ tsp
  • Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida - ¼ pinch
  • Red chilli Powder - ½ tsp
  • Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
  • Ginger Paste - ½ tsp
  • Salt - 1 tsp (or to taste)
Instructions
  1. - Take 1 cup of chickpea flour in a bowl, add 1 cup of Water and dissolve lumps.

  3. - The smoother Chickpea Flour paste is ready, add 1 tsp of Salt, ½ tsp of Cumin Seeds, ¼ tsp of red chilli powder, 1 tsp of Coriander Powder, ½ tsp of Ginger Paste, ½ tsp of Turmeric Powder, 2 finely chopped deseed Green Chillies, 2 tbsp of Finely chopped Green Coriander, 1 finely chopped Capsicum, 1 cup of finely chopped Cauliflower, 1 finely chopped deseed Tomato for the batter.
  4. - Preheat the pan, add 2 tsp of oil and heat it. Preheat the pan and saute them.
