  • Green chickpea – 1.5 cup (250 grams)
  • Boora – 1 cup (150 grams)
  • Refined flour - ¼ cup (3-4 tbsp)
  • Ghee - ½ cup (125 grams)
  • Cashews – 2 tbsp
  • Muskmelon seeds – 2 tbsp
  • Green cardamom – 5-6
  • Milk - ¼ cup
  1. Wash the green chickpea thoroughly with water. Drain out excess water from it and allow it to dry out completely. Now place the green chickpea into a mixer jar along with ¼ cup of milk and grind it into a fine paste. Chop each cashew into 8-10 small pieces. Place them in a bowl. Peel the green cardamom and crush its seeds using a mortar pestle to make a fine powder.
  2. Place a wok on flame. When the wok gets heated, add muskmelon seeds into it. Keep stirring continuously and roast the seeds until they turns puffy and there is slight change in colour. Once they starts spluttering, turn off the flame. Keep stirring for a while and transfer it to a bowl.
  3. Now pour some ghee into the wok. Keep some ghee for later use. Turn on the flame. Once the ghee gets melted, add green chickpea paste and refined flour into it. Keep stirring continuously and roast the mixture until it becomes fragrant and there is change in its colour. Once the green chickpea paste is roasted aptly, turn off the flame and transfer it to a bowl. When the green chickpea paste cools down a bit, add chopped cashews into it along with roasted muskmelon seeds, boora and green cardamom powder. Mix everything really well.
  4. Ladoo mixture is now ready. Take some mixture to make tennis ball sized ladoo, roll the mixture into a ladoo by pressing it gently with both the hands. Place it on a plate. Similarly, prepare the rest of the ladoos until the mixture is completely utilized. Choliya ladoos are now ready.
  5. Serve these mouth-watering and luscious choliya ladoos as a dessert after any meal or have them whenever you crave for something sweet. Once the ladoos cools down completely, store them in an air-tight container and have them within 15-20 days. Enjoy!
