  • Sago pearls - ½ cup (soaked)
  • Rajgira (Amaranth) Flour - ½ cup
  • Potato - 2 (boiled)
  • Peanuts - 1 tbsp (coarsely grind)
  • Ghee - 2 tbsp
  • Ginger - 1 tsp (grated)
  • Green chilly - 2 (finely chopped)
  • Cumin seeds - ½ tsp
  • Black pepper powder - ¼ tsp (freshly grind)
  • Sendha salt (Rock salt) - ¾ tsp
  1. Rinse 1 cup sago pearls and soak them in 1 cup clean water for 2 hours. Drain out the excess water, if visible.Boil and peel the potatoes.Grate the boiled potatoes in a big mixing bowl.
  2. To the mashed potatoes add sago pearls. Further add flour, salt, black pepper, cumin seeds, green coriander, green chilly, peanuts and ginger in a big mixing bowl. Mix all ingredients really well and knead soft dough.
  3. Preheat the tawa, for making Thalipeeth. Place a polythene sheet on rolling plate.
  4. Grease your hands with some ghee. Pinch little amount of dough and make a round dough ball.
  5. Flatten the dough ball with your hands and place it on the plastic sheet.Grease the dough ball with some ghee and cover it with sheet. Now with help of hands or rolling pin, roll it into 3-4 inch diameter round sheet.
  6. Spread some ghee on preheated tawa. Now separate the rolled thalipeeth from plastic sheet.
  7. Place it on tawa. Make a small hole in the center of thalipeeth.
  8. Pour some ghee in the hole as well as all around it.
  9. When the color gets dark on the surface, flip the side and cook until it gets golden brown on both sides.Transfer it to a plate. Likewise prepare rest of the sabudana thalipeeth.
