    Homemade Iced Tea Recipes – Mango Cardamom Iced tea

    Iced tea is a refreshing and best drink to have during the scorching heat of summers. During the dog days of summer, there’s nothing quite like a refreshing and soothing glass of iced tea. Sipping a glass of chilled iced tea to get relief from the scorching heat is a heavenly experience.

    This tempting iced tea can be flavored using green cardamom, cinnamon stick, nutmeg, mint and Tulsi. You can also use lemon, mango juice, pineapple juice, orange juice for giving different flavors and variations. Making Iced tea is always easy and endlessly adaptable. You can brew it light or strong, keep it sweetened or unsweetened. All you need to is to get the basics down and then you can show your creativity. So, just follow the simple steps mentioned below and impress your dear ones.

    Directions

    Making:

    Take 2 cups of water in any vessel and let simmer on flame.

    When you see gentle boil in the water, add the tea leaves, cardamom powder and sugar. Turn off the flame.

    Cover and keep the water covered for 2-3 minutes to brew the tea.

    Now strain the tea through a sieve in any vessel and place it in refrigerator.

    When the tea cools down, mix lemon juice to it and stir well.

    Now in two long glasses, place 7-8 cubes in a glass

    Add 1.5 to 2 tbsp mango crush on the ice.

    Pour the prepared tea into the glasses. Mango flavored ice tea is ready.

    Garnish this lip smacking and mouth watering mango iced tea with 2 lemon wedges and serve chilled.

    • While brewing the tea, don’t over boil it as it might not taste good.
    • If making iced tea with lemon flavor then add 1 lemon juice in 2 glasses of iced tea and add 3 to 4 tsp sugar.
    • If making iced tea in orange flavor, then add half lemon’s juice and half cup orange juice in 2 cup brewed tea.
    • If making iced tea with pineapple flavor, then add half lemon’s juice and half cup pineapple juice to 2 cups of brewed tea. Or you can also use 3 to4 pineapple crush for making the tea.
