Schezwan Sauce Recipe

शेज़वान सॉस घर पर बनायें | Homemade Schezwan Sauce Recipe

 

You know you can prepare Schezwan sauce at home! The preparation is easy, and it gets ready in a jiff. We use schezwan sauce to serve snacks like momos and spring roll, or flavor food like schezwan fried rice, schezwan noodles, and chili potatoes.

Follow the directions along with the images and prepare schezwan sauce at home.

Directions:

1. Take 15 grams Kashmiri red chilies and 5 grams dried red chilies.

2. Pour 3/4 cup of water in a cooking vessel and bring it to a boil.

3. Add chilies to the boiling water and soak them for 20 minutes.

4. Transfer the chilies to the mixer jar using a tong or spoon.

5. Add 2-inch chopped ginger, 2 tbsp of cold water to the mixer jar, and prepare a fine paste.

6. Heat 1/4 cup or 4 tbsp of oil in the pan.

7. Add chilies paste to the pan and roast for a minute or two.

8. Mix 1/2 tsp of crushed black pepper, 1 tsp of oregano, 2 tbsp of coriander stems, and roast for 2 minutes.

9. Add 1 tsp of salt, 2 tsp of sugar, and mix well.

10. Add 1/2 cup of water (used for boiling chilies) to the mixer jar, shake the jar, and pour the water into the pan.

11. Cover and cook the mixture for 15 minutes.

12. Mix 1/2 tsp of soya sauce, 2 tbsp of tomato sauce, 2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar to the sauce.

13. Schezwan sauce is ready to be served.

  • Coriander Stems - 2 tbsp

  • Soya Sauce - ½ tsp
  • Tomato Sauce - 2 tbsp
  • Vinegar - 2 tbsp
