ताजा मटर व पनीर की चटपटी पेटिस । Panir Matar ki Patties | Green Peas Patties Recipe | Baatla Patties
Baatla Patties is a delicious dish prepared with boiled potato as covering and green peas as stuffing. We prepare this patty in two different ways, where we deep-fry one type and shallow fry another. It is also known as green peas patties.
Follow the directions along with the images and prepare crispy baatla patties.
Directions:
1. Take 1 cup of peas and grind them coarsely.
2. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in the Kadai.
3. Add 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds, 1 tsp of grated ginger, 2-chopped green chilies, 1 tsp of coriander powder to the Kadai, and sauté briefly.
4. Add ground peas, 3/4 tsp of salt, 1/2 tsp of crushed red chili, 1/2 tsp of amchur powder, 1/4 tsp of garam masala to Kadai.
5. Roast peas with masala over the low-medium flame for 1-2 minutes.
6. Add 3/4 cup of grated paneer, chopped green coriander to the pan, and mix well.
7. Take 6-boiled potatoes, peel, and grate them.
8. Add 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp crushed black pepper, 6 tbsp sattu flour, and 1-2 tbsp chopped coriander to the potatoes.
9. Mix well and prepare the dough.
10. Apply a little oil to your hand, divide the dough into lumps, and make balls of the stuffing.
11. Take a dough lump, roll it into a ball, and give it a shallow bowl shape.
12. Add a stuffing ball in the center and cover it by collecting the corners.
13. Apply oil to your hands and make the stuffed patties round.
14. Deep-fry prepared patties in medium hot oil till golden brown from all sides.
Type 2 Patties:
15. Similarly, roll a dough lump into a ball and give it a shallow bowl shape.
16. Add a stuffing ball in the center and cover it.
17. Flatten the ball between your palm to give a cutlet shape.
18. Heat 2-3 tbsp of oil in a flat pan.
19. Shallow fry the patties in medium hot oil till golden brown from both sides.
20. Green peas patties are ready to be served.
- Potato - 6, (500gms)
- Salt - 1 tsp
- Black Pepper - ½ tsp
- Sattu or Besan - 6 tbsp
- Cornflour - 4 tbsp
- Coriander Leaves - 1-2 tbsp
- Peas - 1 Cup
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Cumin Seeds - ½ tsp
- Salt - ½ tsp
- Ginger - 1 tsp, grated
- Green Chilli - 2, finely chopped
- Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
- Salt - ¾ tsp
- Red Chilli Powder - ½ tsp
- Dry Mango Powder - ½ tsp
- Garam Masala - ¼ tsp
- Paneer - ¾ Cup, (100 grams)
- Coriander Leaves - 1-2 tbsp
