Green moong laddu is a winter special sweet recipe, which is packed with proteins, fibers, and iron. It is good for kids as well as the elderly. Usually, it is prepared using sugar but today we are going to replace sugar with jaggery. The deliciousness of the sweet can cham anybody.
So, follow the directions below along with the images to prepare yummy green moong laddu.
Directions:
1. Dry roast 1 cup of moong dal (green grams) over medium heat.
2. Take it out on a plate and allow it to cool down once the color changes.
3. Prepare jaggery syrup with less than a cup of jaggery and 2 tbsp water.
4. Turn off the heat once the jaggery dissolves completely.
5. Next, ground the cooled green moong into a flour-like powder.
6. Roast the dal over low heat with 2 tbsp of ghee.
7. If the mixture appears dry, then add 2 more tbsp of ghee to it.
8. Add 8-10 chopped cashews, 1/4 cup of almond flakes, 4 crushed cardamoms, and roast the mixture for 2 minutes.
9. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and mix jaggery syrup in it.
10. Bind all the ladoos of the size you please and green moong ladoos are ready.
