How To Prepare Baked Samosa?

Deep-fried samosas are old when you can bake the same texture and shape samosa without using too much oil. Yes, you heard it right! Bake the same texture and shape samosa healthily. No more regrets after having 2 servings when you are baking it.

Follow the directions below along with images to bake delicious and healthy less-oil samosa.

Directions

1. Mix a little more than ½ tsp of salt, ½ tsp of baking powder, ½ cup of oil in 2.5 cups of maida.

2. Pour ½ cup water gradually and knead a stiff dough similar to the samosa dough.

 

3. Cover and rest the dough for 30 minutes to set.

4. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in the pan to prepare the stuffing.

5. Roast 1 tsp of grated ginger, 2-finely chopped green chili, 1 tsp of cumin powder, 1 tsp of coriander powder, and ½ cup of frozen peas together.

6. Add 5-boiled mashed potatoes to the pan and other sides.

7. Add 1 tsp of red chili powder, ½ tsp of amchur powder, ¼ tsp of garam masala, a little more than ½ tsp of salt, and 1-2 tbsp of green coriander.

8.Sauté the masala for 7-8 minutes and the stuffing is ready.

9. Knead the dough one more time and divide into equal big portions.

10. Fold the dough portion between your palm and roll out an oval-shaped dough sheet.

11. Cut the sheet from the center into 2-equal halves.

12. Apply water on the straight edge and fold the halve into a cone.

13. Fill in 2 tsp of stuffing and stick the open edge nicely.

14. Place all the prepared samosa on the baking tray and brush cream over them.

15. Bake the samosas for 35 minutes at 200° centigrade.

16. Baked samosas are ready to be served.


Baked Samosa Recipe Without Oven

  • Refined Flour - 2.5 Cup (350 grams)
  • Salt - more than ½ tsp
  • Baking Powder - ½ tsp
  • Oil - ½ Cup
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Ginger - 1 tsp, grated
  • Green Chilli - 2, finely chopped
  • Cumin Powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
  • Potato - 5, mashed (350 grams)
  • Peas - ½ Cup
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
  • Dry Mango Powder - ½ tsp
  • Garam Masala - ¼ tsp
  • Salt - more than ½ tsp
  • Coriander - 1-2 tbsp, chopped
Instructions
