Kitty party or unexpected guest at home? Serve crispy veggie rice balls with a cup of tea or coffee and they are going to love it. Veggie rice balls are soft and crispy balls prepared with rice flour and vegetables. It gets ready in no time. Follow the directions below and prepare these crispy veggie rice balls at home

Directions:

1. Add 1.25 cups of water, ¾ tsp of salt, and 2 tsp of oil to a pan and bring it to a boil.

2. Mix 1 cup of rice flour in the water once it comes to a boil. Cover and leave it for 5 minutes.

3. Add 3-4 tbsp of chopped capsicum, ½ cup grated cauliflower, 1 tsp grated ginger, and 3-4 finely chopped green chilies to the mixture.

4. Mix ½ tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp coriander powder, ¾ tsp crushed red chili, ¼ tsp amchur, ¼ tsp garam masala, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, 2-3 tbsp chopped green coriander to the mixture.

 

 

5. Add ½ cup of grated potatoes and knead the mixture into a dough.

6. Apply a little oil to your hand and make balls of the dough.

7. Heat the oil in the Kadai for frying.

8. Drop as many balls as possible in the kadhai. Fry the rice balls until golden brown.

9. Transfer the rice balls to a plate once they turn golden brown. Each batch will take 6-7 minutes.

10. Veggie rice balls are ready to be served.

  • Salt - ¾ tsp
  • Oil - 2 tsp
  • Rice Flour - 1 cup (150 grams)
  • Capsicum - 3- 4 tbsp, chopped
  • Cauliflower - ½ cup, grated
  • Ginger - 1 tsp, grated
  • Green Chilli - 3 or 4, chopped
  • Cumin seeds - ½ tsp
  • Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
  • Red Chilli - ¾ tsp
  • Dry Mango Powder - ¼ tsp
  • Garam Masala - ¼ tsp
  • Turmeric Powder - ¼ tsp
  • Fresh Coriander - 2- 3 tbsp
  • Boiled Potato - ½ cup, grated
  • Oil for frying
