Chikkis are winter special snacks loved by kids as well as adults. Chikkis have variants among which the most popular are peanut and jaggery. I’m sure after today, you are going to love Almond chikki, which is an extension of dry fruits chikki.
Follow the directions below along with images to prepare delicious and crispy almond chikki.
Directions:
1. Dry roast 200 grams of almonds (cut into halves lengthways) over medium flame for 2 minutes.
2. Grease a rolling board and pin with some ghee.
3. Add 1 tsp of ghee and 200 grams of sugar to a Kadai and melt it over medium heat.
4. Add almonds as soon as the sugar dissolves. Turn the heat low and mix well.
5. Add the mixture to the greased board and spread it evenly.
6. Press the mixture with a greased bowl to spread evenly.
7. Roll the mixture into a thin sheet using the rolling pin.
8. Keep the chikki aside for 2 minutes and mark cuts on the mixture afterward.
9. Leave the mixture for 5-10 minutes to set.
10. Separate and transfer the chikki pieces to the serving plate.
