Among a lot of savory paneer based recipes, today I’m going to put some light on a sweet paneer based recipe Known as Paneer Khurma. It is a famous sweet recipe from Bihar also known as Belgrami.

The traditional preparation can consume too much time. To prepare it in short order, follow the instructions below along with images.

Directions:

1. Boil 3/4 cup of sugar and 1.25 cups of water in a cooker till the sugar dissolves completely.

2. Cut 200 grams of paneer into cubes.

3. Once you see a nice boil in the syrup, add paneer cubes one at a time to the cooker.

4. Pressure cook the paneer over high heat for a whistle.

5. Cook paneer over low heat for 30 minutes after a whistle.

6. After 30 minutes, remove the lid and simmer the syrup over medium heat till it thickens.

7. Once the syrup thickens, keep it aside for 5 minutes to cool.

8. Transfer the cubes to a sieve with a bowl underneath.

9. Leave the paneer cubes in the sieve for an hour or two.

10. Take the paneer khurma out on the serving plate. Paneer khurma is ready to be served.
