Sprouted Moth Chaat Recipe

Moth Dal Chaat is an Indian street food loved across the nation. The preparation requires sprouted Moth dal to prepare the deliciously healthy Moth Dal Chaat, which is enjoyable street food in India.

To prepare streets like Moth Dal Chaat, follow the directions along with the images.

Directions:

1. Soak ½ cup of Moth beans for 10-12 hours.

2. Wash the dal with drinking water after 10-12 hours.

3. Wrap the dal in a wet towel and keep it on a sieve.

4. Take a plate and keep a small bowl on that plate.

5. Keep the sieve over the bowl and leave the moth overnight to sprout.

6. Add ½ tsp of salt, ¼ tsp of turmeric powder to 1 cup of water, and bring it to a boil.

7. Add sprouted moth to the water and simmer for 5 minutes over medium flame.

8. Strain the dal out in a bowl and add ¾ tsp black salt, ¾ tsp chaat masala, 1-chopped chili, and ½ tsp roasted cumin powder.

9. Add 1-chopped tomato, 1-chopped potato (boiled), 2 tsp of green coriander chutney, ½ lemon juice, and mix well.

10. Add some chopped coriander leaves, olive oil, and sprouted Moth Chaat is ready to be served.

  • Moth Dal - ½ cup (100 grams)
  • Salt - ½ tsp
  • Turmeric Powder - ¼ tsp
  • Black Salt - ¾ tsp
  • Chaat Masala - ¾ tsp
  • Green Chilli - 1 finely chopped
  • Roasted Cumin seeds - ½ tsp
  • Tomato - 1 chopped
  • Potato, boiled - 1 medium size,
  • Green Chutney - 2 tsp
  • Lemon - ½ medium size
  • Green Coriander - 1 tbsp
Instructions
