Stuffed Capsicum Recipe | भरवां शिमला मिर्च | Bharwan Shimla Mirch recipe

 

Stuffed capsicum is a unique recipe which can be considered as a snack or a main course. It has the lip-smacking flavour of spices and has a mouth-watering taste. Serving it along with Paratha, Chapati helps to enhance its taste. 

Here is a step by step recipe to make stuffed capsicum along with pictures. It is tastier to eat and has a unique flavour. This recipe is perfect to serve as a starter or a main course to the guests. 

Direction: 

Getting Ready:

Hollow 3 capsicums using a knife and remove their seeds too. 

Boil, peel and mash 3 potatoes. 

Preheat 2 teaspoons of oil in a pan. 

Roast a ¼ tsp of cumin seeds, 2 finely chopped green chillies on low flame.

Roast a 1 tsp of ginger paste, a ½ tsp of turmeric powder, a tsp of coriander powder in it. 

Add the mashed potatoes, a ½ tsp of salt, a ½ tsp of red chilli powder, a ¼ tsp of mango powder to it and roast well. 

Add a packet of Masala Ae-Magic to it along with some chopped green coriander.

 

Fill the stuffing in capsicums using a spoon and insert it well using the backside of a spoon. 

Preheat a wok and a 2 tablespoons of oil in it on medium flame. 

Place the capsicums for cooking it on medium flame. 

Cover and cook them for 2 minutes. 

Rotate and cook it after every interval of 2 to 3 minutes. 

After cooking them for 20 minutes, the stuffed capsicum has cooked. 

Remove and place them on a plate. 

Garnish with some finely chopped green coriander. 

Stuffed Capsicum is ready to be served. 

Suggestions 

  • You can use an inch of ginger baton instead of ginger paste. 
  • You can use the remaining oil to make any of your desired curries.

Ingredients
  • Capsicum - 3 (250 grams)
  • Potatoes - 4 (400 grams)
  • Oil - 2 to 3 tbsp
  • Green coriander (finely chopped) - 2 to 3 tbsp
  • Ginger paste - 1 tsp
  • Green chilli paste - 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds - ¼ tsp
  • Red chilli powder - ½ tsp
  • Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
  • Dry mango powder - ¼ tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt - ½ tsp
  • Maggi Masala-Ae-Magic - 1 packet
Instructions
  1. - Take 3 capsicums, hollow them using a knife and remove their seeds too.
  2. - After hollowing them, take 3 potatoes, boil, peel and mash them but, not finely.
  3. - Preheat a pan, add 2 teaspoons of oil and heat it.
  4. - Add a ¼ teaspoons cumin seeds, 2 finely chopped green chillies to it on low flame.
  5. - Add a teaspoon of ginger paste, a ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder, a teaspoon of coriander powder to it and saute the spices.
  6. - Add the mashed, a ½ teaspoon of salt, a ½ teaspoon of red chilli powder, a ¼ teaspoon of mango powder to it and roast them on medium flame.
  7. - Add a packet of Masala Ae-Magic to it along with some chopped green coriander.
