Pinwheel is a dish of snacks which are perfect to eat with any variety of dip. They are tastier to eat and easier to make. It has such an attractive texture which can make your mouth watery at any point in time.
Here is a step by step recipe of pinwheels along with pictures to make it easier. In this recipe, you will come across two varieties of pinwheels.

Getting Ready:
For Samosa pinwheel
Boil, peel and mash 2 potatoes.
Preheat 2 teaspoons of oil in a pan.
Add a tsp of ginger paste on low flame.
Add 1 to 2 finely chopped green chillies to it.
Add a ½ tsp of coriander powder, less than ¼ tsp of turmeric powder and add the mashed potatoes to it.
Add a less than ½ tsp of salt, a ¼ tsp of mango powder and cook while stirring them.
Press with a spatula to mash them.
Add some finely chopped green coriander, a ¼ tsp of red chilli powder and mix them well.
Drain out the cooked stuffing from the pan.
Remove the corners of bread slices.
Flatten bread slices using a rolling pin.
Flatten all the bread slices likewise.
Spread 1 tsp of pizza sauce on a slice and place another bread slice over it.
Spread 2 teaspoons of the stuffing over it.
Place another bread slice over it and cover it.
Spread a teaspoon of green coriander dip over it.
Take a sheet of foil paper to wrap the pinwheels.
Lift an end of a foil paper and roll to wrap it.
Roll, fold and seal the pinwheel in it.
Prepare the rest of pinwheels likewise.
For pizza pinwheel
Spread 1 tsp of pizza sauce on a slice and place another bread slice over it.
Place a cheese slice over it.
Place another bread slice over it and cover it.
Spread a teaspoon of green coriander dip over it.
Take a sheet of foil paper to wrap the pinwheel.
Lift an end of a foil paper and roll to wrap it.
Roll, fold and seal the pinwheel in it.
Prepare the rest of pinwheels likewise and refrigerate both the pinwheels for half an hour to set.
Remove foil paper coverings from the pinwheels.
Chop pinwheels into the smaller sized pieces of 1/2 inch.
For baking
Take a baking tray and spread a butter paper over it.
Coat the pieces with melted butter and place them in the tray at a particular distance.
Bake them in the oven for 15 minutes at 190-degree centigrade.
They have baked after 15 minutes.
For shallow frying
Preheat a non-stick pan and spread some butter over it.
Place pieces on the pan to cook.
Cook them for 2 to 3 minutes in the pan on medium flame.
Flip them once they have cooked from the bottom.
Again, cook them for 1 to 2 minutes on low-medium flame.
They have cooked well. Remove them from the pan.
The bread pinwheel is ready to be served.
Suggestions
- You can serve it along with tea or with any desired dip.
- You can make bread crumbs from remaining corners of the bread. You can make its snacks or you can use it as the soup sticks.
- You can use tomato sauce or sweet tamarind dip instead of pizza sauce.
- You can assemble and store them in the refrigerator a day before serving.
- You only fresh bread for this recipe.

- Green coriander dip - 2 tbsp
- Butter - 1 tbsp
