Til Sooji Barfi | Til Sesame Semolina Burfi Recipe
Winter season brings up many seasonal recipes. Try the new recipe of Til Sooji Barfi and satisfy your sweet cravings. Sesame seeds are a good source of Iron, calcium, vitamins and are warm in nature. You will get much energy to stay fit during this season.
Here is an easy recipe with step by step recipe to make mouth drooling Til sesame Semolina Barfi. Rather than buying it out from the market you can make it very easily at home. I am sure your guests will be fan of your culinary skills. Relish it anytime of the day and enjoy your winter bliss.

Getting ready :
Take 1 tbsp pistachios and finely slice them.
Making :
Preheat a wok and place 1 cup (150 grams) the sesame seeds into it. Stir well until it changes color and is fragrant.Turn off the flame.
Take ½ cup (125 grams) ghee, add it to the wok and let it melt. Add 1 cup (180 grams) semolina.Stir and roast the semolina it changes color and is fragrant. Turn off the flame.Put both ingredients in same plate.
For sugar syrup, add 1 cup (250 grams) sugar in a wok.add 1/3 cup water to it.Simmer until the sugar dissolves completely.Cook the syrup for 1 to 2 more minutes. Reduce flame to minimum.
Mix roasted semolina and sesame seeds into sugar syrup.Add 1 tsp green cardamom powder and 2 tbsp finely chopped pistachios to the mixture. Mix well.Turn off the flame and keep stirring the mixture in the wok.Let it cool down slightly.
Grease the tray with some ghee. Meanwhile when the mix cools down, transfer it to a plate to set. Garnish with some chopped pistachios and press them gently using a brush or spoon.
Let the barfi set for 10 to 15 minutes and then make cuts on the barfi. Mark the barfi. Let the barfi to cool down completely and then separate out the barfi from the plate.
Serving :
Lip smacking and super delicious Til sooji barfi. When the barfi cools down completely, store it in any container and relish eating for up to a month.
Suggestion :
- You can also add chopped cashews, walnuts to the mixture or make it without dry fruits.
Even if you don’t add the almonds the barfi will taste scrumptious. - While roasting the sesame seeds, make sure you don’t over roast them.It just takes 2 to 3 minutes to roast them and they get bitter in taste if over roasted.
