Sabudana Moong Nuggets Recipe – Sago Moong Nuggets

Sabudana Moong Nuggets are tasty snack eveyone will savor. These yummy Sago Moong Nuggets are made of sabudana, moong, boiled potatoes, spices and green coriander. You can serve these crispy and tempting sago moong nuggets piping hot along with green coriander chutney, tomato sauce or sweet chutney.

Getting ready:

Wash the sago pearls under running water and then soak them in water for 4-5 hours. After that, drain out the excess water from them.

Rinse the green moong dal with water and then soak it for 5-6 hours. After that, pressure cook it with some water until a whistle is released. Afterward, release all its pressure and transfer the dal in a bowl.

Peel the boiled potatoes and grate them manually with a grater in a bowl.

Take soaked sago pearls in a big mixing bowl and add green moong dal, peanuts, green coriander, coriander powder, red chilly powder, green chilly, ginger, crushed black pepper, dry mango powder, salt and grated potatoes into it. Mix and mash all the ingredients together to make dough. Dough for making nuggets is now ready.

To make nuggets, pinch some dough and bind it into a ball then flatten it slightly. Place it on a plate and make the rest of the nuggets likewise.

Place a wok on flame and pour enough oil into it to deep fry the nuggets. When the oil gets heated, gently drop 8-12 or as many nuggets as possible into it.

Once the nuggets are fried from beneath, flip their sides and fry them on medium-high flame until they get golden brown from all the sides. Nuggets are fried aptly, drain out them on a plate covered with napkin paper. Fry the rest of the nuggets as well. It took 6-7 minutes to fry a batch of nuggets. Sago moong nuggets are now ready to serve.
