    Homemade Cinnamon Rolls Recipe

    Cinnamon rolls are relished the most because of their taste and texture. These baked rolls have a prominent flavor of cinnamon in them. They can be served as it is or with a cup of hot tea or have them as a dessert. Eggless cinnamon rolls are prepared with few ingredients i.e. refined flour, butter, sugar, cinnamon powder and yeast.

    You can make them instantly for your guests at any get-together or special occasions. Cinnamon rolls are dusted with powdered sugar-cinnamon powder mixture after baking. So, try out making these cinnamon rolls with these easy to follow step-by-step instructions. Enjoy!

    Making:

    Take refined flour in a big mixing bowl and add 2 tbsp butter, sugar and instant active dry yeast in it. Mix everything really well.

    Now add lukewarm milk in small portions and knead soft dough. Then knead the dough continuously for 5 to 7 minutes until it becomes smooth. We have used the milk and 1 tbsp of water to knead the dough. When the dough becomes smooth, apply some oil all over it then cover and keep it aside for 2 hours.

    After 2 hours, dough will get fermented then slightly knead the dough. Now dust a board or kitchen platform with some refined flour and place the dough on it. Dust the dough as well then roll it out with rolling pin in ½ cm thick rectangular sheet. The sheet should be 8 to 10 cm in width and 14 to 15 cm in length.

    Put the butter on the dough sheet and spread it evenly with the back of a spoon. Take brown sugar in a bowl along with cinnamon powder and mix thoroughly. Now sprinkle the mixture on the dough sheet leaving ½ cm space from the edges.

    Run the rolling pin over the dough sheet so that the brown sugar and cinnamon powder mixture sticks nicely on it.

    Apply some water on the upper edge of the dough sheet and start folding it from bottom and take it to the top. Don’t fold it too tightly.

    Then cut the log into ¾ to 1 inch thick rolls and carefully place them on a baking tray. Maintain ½ cm space between the rolls. Cover the cinnamon rolls with something so that there shape doesn’t get distorted and keep them aside for 1 to 1.5 hours so that they become puffy.

    Later, preheat an oven at 180 degree centigrade. Then place the baking tray inside the oven and bake the cinnamon rolls for 15 minutes at 180 degree centigrade. 15 minutes later, rolls will get baked aptly. Cinnamon rolls are now ready.

    • If you are using unsalted butter then add ¼ tsp salt in it.
    • If you are using instant dry yeast then put it in the lukewarm milk along with sugar and leave them for 10 minutes to activate. Use it later.

    • Baking time varies from oven to oven. So, firstly bake the cinnamon rolls for 10 minutes and then keep baking them for few minutes while checking in-between until the rolls are baked aptly.
