    Getting ready:

    Take the dark chocolate compound and crush it finely with help of a knife. Similarly, crush the white chocolate compound as well. You can also wrap the chocolate in polythene wrap and crush it by placing a heavy material on it.

    To melt the chocolates, place two vessels on flame filled with 1-1.5 cups of water and place another bowl of small size on top which doesn’t sink into the water. Let the water simmer until it starts boiling. Put the dark chocolate in a bowl and white chocolate in another bowl and when the water starts boiling, place the bowls filled with chocolate on the vessels. Keep stirring the chocolates at regular interval of 1-0.5 minutes and cook them on low flame until they melts completely. Place a spoon in the vessel filled with water to let the vapor escape easily.

    Dark chocolate is melted aptly, take it off the steam and add some crushed dark chocolate into it to decrease the temperature of the melted chocolate. You can also keep the chocolate aside for 3-4 minutes to cool it down.

    To make plain chocolates, pour the melted chocolate evenly into the moulds, pat the moulds to release the air-bubbles and even the surface of the chocolate. Place the moulds inside freezer for 5 minutes to set.

    • Make sure that no water should enter the chocolates. Use clean and dry bowl, spoon and moulds for melting the chocolates.
    • Chocolates should be cooked on apt temperature for apt time because if they are overheated they will not melt easily. Dark chocolate should be melt on 120 degree centigrade and white chocolate on 110 degree centigrade. As we don’t have confectionary thermometer at home so keep the flame on low while melting the chocolates and there should be constant formation of steam.
    • If you want to melt the chocolates in microwave then melt them for 30 seconds or 1 minute first. Take out the utensils and stir the chocolates thoroughly, if they are not melted then place them back and microwave for 10-20 seconds more. Don’t microwave for 2 minutes at once or else they will not melt easily.
    • Don’t place the chocolate compounds in refrigerator because they will turn moist and it will become difficult to melt them.
    • If the chocolate turns dry by heating it again and again then add ½ – 1 tsp of olive oil or any other edible oil into it to make the chocolate smooth.
