Sabudana Namakeen Recipe for Vrat/Navratra Video in Hindi
Sabudana namkeen is a crispy and yummy namkeen recipe that can be consumed during fasts. As we all know that special Namkeen are available for people who observe fasts during navratri. You can buy these special namkeen consumed in fasting from the market or prepare them at home. Yes, you can very easily prepare these sago namkeen yourself. Here’s an easy recipe for making this namkeen at your home. It can be made easily at home and will definitely be better than the namkeen available in the market.
Namkeens eaten in fasts can be made in various ways. You can use peanuts and sago (sabudana) to make this namkeen or you can add any kind of dry fruits to it to enhance its taste. Just prepare the namkeen one day and eat it for all 9 days of the fasting. We are sure you will definitely like it. Try out this easy recipe with step-by-step instructions and enjoy!
Directions
Getting ready:
In a big bowl, take the sago pearls. Pour 2 tsp water, mix it well and leave them aside for 5 minutes so that they become moist.
Clean the peanuts and keep them in another small bowl.
Making:
After 5 minutes, sago pearls have become moist. Heat enough oil in a wok. Once the oil heats up well then put 1-2 tbsp sago pearls into it. Keep the flame low. After few minutes sago pearls will get puffed up and starts rising. Stir with the ladle and let them cook for 2-3 minutes.
After around 5 minutes, sago pearls will get cooked through. Once all the sago rises take them out on a plate. Break and eat the sago to check whether they are properly cooked from the core also. Put the remaining sago and fry them in the same way.
Now add peanuts into the same oil and fry them on low flame as well. Stir them continuously till they turn light brown in color.
Peanuts have turned brown in color. Transfer it to another plate. Fry the almonds and coconut slices as well in the same oil until they turn nice brown in color. Take them out in the same plate with peanuts.
Take a big mixing bowl and add fried sago pearls along with fried peanuts, almonds and coconut slices. Then add sendha salt and black pepper into the mixture. Mix everything well together. Sago pearls namkeen for fast is now ready.
Serving:
Serve this delicious and crispy sago pearls namkeen as it is. You can eat it during any time of the day of your fasting days. Let it cool down and store the remaining namkeen in an airtight container for next day or coming 9 days of fasting. Enjoy!
